A healthy body and mind are key to a good life. At Scalepoint, we highly support good health and work-life balance for our employees.
To ensure correct handling and disposal of worn-out and defect batteries, the batteries are collected in bins that are then picked up by the company Remondis. Once collected, the batteries are sent to a sorting facility where the materials from the batteries are melted, separated, and turned into new products.
As part of our focus on reducing our energy consumption, we started replacing the light bulbs at our offices with energy-saving LEDs back in 2021. Additionally, information about turning off the light when leaving the room is continuously distributed as ongoing reminders internally and light sensors have been installed in parts of the offices. At the beginning of 2023, 95% of our light bulbs were replaced with LEDs and we had a reduction of 23% in our power consumption (kWh) from 2021 to 2022.
Cardboard and packaging from vendors are collected in containers and picked up by the company Marius Pedersen. The packaging is then controlled, sorted, and reused in the paper industry as new paper products in the recycled paper industry.
To reduce food waste, employees electronically register days they are not in the office due to visiting customers, holidays, or working from home. When guests are visiting, these are registered as well. The overview of how many people are expected in the office makes our kitchen staff capable of scaling the amount of food on a daily basis. After lunch, employees are offered to take home any leftovers so the food is not wasted.
To help reduce the CO2 emissions, we have installed EV stations at our parking lot to support our employees in driving electric vehicles to work.
